Loge Named MIAC Defensive Player Of The Week
MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/03/25)---Concordia Jackson Loge (Donnelly, Minn./Morris Area HS) was named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week after his 15-point, 13-rebound performance in the Cobbers' late-game comeback win over Hamline.
Loge becomes the second Concordia player to earn MIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors this year. Jacob Cook received the same weekly honor on Jan. 13 for his play against St. Olaf. It is the first time in his career that Loge has earned MIAC Player of the Week honors.
Loge was one of the keys to the Cobbers' overcoming a 9-point deficit with 5 minutes to play against the Pipers. Loge grabbed four rebounds, scored four points and had a pair of assists during Concordia's 16-1 run down the stretch that allowed the Cobbers to post the 69-63 victory.
Loge finished the game by going 6-for-13 from the floor and 3-for-4 from the foul line to get to his 15 points. He also came away with the 13 rebounds and added four assists, two steals and one block.
The 15 points and 13 rebounds gave Loge his 10th double-double of the season.
Loge leads the MIAC in rebounding in all games. He is averaging 9.9 rebounds per game over the course of the team's 19 games this season. He is also in the Top 10 in scoring with a 15.2 ppg average.
