Landsverk Evens Team-Leading Finishes At Jimmie Invite

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (10/07/22)---Concordia returned to racing after a 2-week break, and used the sunshine to post a slew of season-best time on their way to a 5th-place team finish.

Seniors Amelia Landsverk and Emily Rugloski led the Cobbers. Both runners posted Top 25 finishes at the meet – and both came through with season-best times. Landsverk clocked a team-best 19:54.3 and crossed the line in 21st place.

It marked the second time this season that Landsverk has posted the fastest time for the Cobbers. The other two top times on the year were turned in by Rugloski as the season series is now tied at 2-2.

Rugloski was only 3.7 seconds behind Landsverk with a time of 19:58.0. That time is also a season best.

Freshman Kiya McLaurin turned in the third fastest time for CC. She clocked a 20:15.2 and came home with a Top 30 finish.

The trio of Eden Smith, Kelly Lorenz and Airial Johnson finished in three consecutive places from 32-34. Smith led the group with a time of 20:32.4. Lorenz was exactly 1-second off of Smith's pace, while Johnson clocked a 20:37.7.          
 
UP NEXT: The Cobbers won't have to wait for another two weeks before competing again as they are slated to race in the Tori Neubauer Invitational at Wis.-La Crosse on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 11:20 a.m.
