Bio

Darrell Olson was hired in the spring of 2018 at the receiver's coach for the program.

Olson is no stranger to Concordia having played for the Cobbers in the late 1970's. Olson graduated from Concordia in 1977 and has gone on to become a highly successful coach for over 30 years.

After graduating from Concordia, Olson went on to become a graduate assistant at North Dakota State when the Bison won the NCAA Division II national championship in 1988.

Olson then moved on to the head coach position at West Fargo High School where he was named the East Region Coach of the Year in 1990. From West Fargo, Olson moved to Minnesota where he was the head coach at Pelican Rapids High School from 1991-97. Olson's most recent coaching stint has been at Maple Grove High School in the Twin Cities where he was an assistant coach from  1997-2018. 

In addition to his coaching experience, Olson has also worked in the Osseo school system and has been a standout high school basketball referee where he has officiated in 13 Minnesota State Tournaments.  

Darrell's wife Kris works at Concordia as the Director of the Career Center and the couple have two sons - Erik and Peder.
