Cobbers Post Top 10 Finish At Prestigious Roy Griak Invite
Concordia ended their 2-week break by finishing in 10th place in the Suzy Wilson Division II and III race as part of the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (9/19/25)---Concordia ended their 2-week break by finishing in 10th place in the Suzy Wilson Division II and III race as part of the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational.
The Cobbers were one of only three Division III teams in the field of 24 college squads. Concordia finished the meet with 278 points, which was 42 points ahead of DII Minn.-Crookston and only four points shy of ninth-place Ferris State.
After a standout showing at the season-opening MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet on Sept. 5, Concordia returned to competition and had a pair of runners finish in the Top 50 in the individual standings and had their Top 5 all cross the line in the Top 70 of the scoring positions.
Ashley Nelson continued her early-season success by running a 24:38.5, which was the best time by a Cobber in the meet and third best among all DIII athletes. Nelson has now led CC in both meets this season.
Brooklyn Hart was less than 3 seconds behind Nelson at the finish line. She posted a mark of 24:41.1 over the 5K course.
Sophomore Kelyn Henry-Perlich was Concordia's No.3 finisher and sandwiched in between the duo of Nelson and Hart and Lilly Dickinson and Londyn Ames.
Henry-Perlich crossed the line in 25:09.5 which was just shy of 20 seconds ahead of Dickinson and Ames. Dickinson clocked a 25:29.1 and Ames was the next finisher in the overall individual standings at 25:31.5.
The Cobbers will continue with their 2025 campaign when they compete at the Wis.-Eau Claire Blugold Invite on Friday, Oct. 3.
