Cobbs Are 3rd at MSUM Twilight

MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/06/19)--- Concordia College women's cross-country team competed at the MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet which was held Friday evening at the Bluestem Center for the Arts in Moorhead, Minn.

Racing conditions were perfect Friday night as the Cobbers along with nine other teams lined up to race. The team had a strong showing, placing 3rd and scoring 93 points in a field made up of all division II and NAIA teams. Concordia finished behind U of Mary and Minot State and had three women finish in the top 20 out of 91 total runners.

The Cobbers were led by Meritt Miller who finished 10th overall, the sophomore covering the 4000m course in 14:47.5. Miller was followed by teammates Kara Andersen 13th and Josie Herrmann 17th, Isabel Fredrickson 26th,  and Amelia Landsverk 31st rounded out the top 5 for the Cobbers.

 

WHAT'S NEXT: Concordia will head to Northfield, MN in two weeks to participate in their first away meet of the year. The Cobbers will compete in the Carleton Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.
