Bio

Rachel Quackenbush was hired in the summer of 2017 as the lead assistant coach for the Cobber volleyball program.

Quackenbush brings a solid coaching and playing resume to the Cobber program. She served as an assistant coach at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 season. Quackenbush was a graduate assistant for her first two seasons with the Statesman before moving up to a more substantial role as assistant for the 2016 campaign.         

During her tenure at William Penn Quackenbush served as the head recruiting coordinator as well as assisting in practice planning and game plan implementation. She was also the coach for the junior varsity team in her first two seasons.

Quackenbush played collegiately at Indiana Wesleyan University where she was a four-year starter and helped the team to NAIA national tournament appearances in 2011 and 2012. She also helped the Wildcats win the National Christian College Athletic national championship in 2010. Quackenbush was also a part of the Indiana Wesleyan teams that won the Mid-Central College Conference tournament championship in 2011 and the Crossroads League regular season and postseason titles in 2012.  

Quackenbush earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Sports Management from Indiana Wesleyan in 2013 and went on to complete her master’s degree in Business Leadership from William Penn in 2016.

In addition to her recent coaching stint at William Penn, Quackenbush has also been heavily involved in the club volleyball scene. She coached for the Dunes Volleyball Club in Rolling Prairie, Ind. from 2013-14 and then went on to coach at the Iowa Rockets club in Iowa City, Iowa in 2015.
