Bio

Morgan Hoover was hired as the full-time assistant coach for Cobber volleyball in the spring of 2018.

Hoover brings a celebrated career as a collegiate player and a collegiate coaching background to Concordia. Before coming to the Cobbers she served as the top assistant for Washington College in Maryland for three seasons.

Hoover played collegiately at Frostburg State where she earned team Most Valuable Player honors in two seasons. When she finished her playing career for the Bobcats she was third on the school’s all-time career list in blocks with 292 and 11th in career kills with 677. Hoover was a middle hitter at Frostburg State and led the team in attack percentage in her final two seasons and had a career-high attack mark of .247 as a senior. Hoover also led the Bobcats in blocks as a freshman.

Hoover graduated from Frostburg State with a degree in Recreation and Park Management. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Strategic Sport Analysis from California University of Pennsylvania in August 2017.

Hoover was hired as the top assistant at Washington College during the summer of 2015. She went on to help the Shorewomen record 46 victories and post two winning seasons.

Hoover has also been active in other coaching endeavors. She coached for the Bay Area Volleyball Academy from 2016-18 and was a coach and intern for the Frostburg Volleyball Club where she helped start the organization and served as an assistant coach for the U16 team.

In 2019 she coached the 14U Deacon Nets club team in Fargo and in 2020 she was the coach of the Red River Infinity volleyball club.
