The Cobber volleyball team turned up the heat on Halloween night, rolling past Hamline in straight sets behind a balanced offensive attack and a standout defensive effort. Concordia controlled the pace from start to finish, claiming a 3–0 (25–22, 25–19, 25–21) win to keep momentum rolling into their weekend matchup with Saint Benedict.
The Cobbers battled through three tightly contested sets against Gustavus but ultimately fell 3–0 (25–22, 26–24, 25–19) on Saturday night. Despite the sweep, Concordia saw strong performances from Lauren Pearson and Addy Klemin, who each recorded seven kills, while Kelsi Martini and Annie Horan anchored the defense with double-digit digs.
Despite dropping the match 3–1 (18–25, 25–11, 22–25, 15–25), the Cobbers saw standout performances from several players. Annie Horan recorded a career-high 18 kills and 21 digs, while Kelsi Martini and Holland Fitterer each tallied career-best 19 digs in a strong all-around effort from the maroon and gold.
The Cobber volleyball team earned its sixth win of the season in dramatic fashion, sweeping Buena Vista 3-0 on the road. Concordia controlled the first two sets before storming back from an eight-point deficit in the third to seal a thrilling 28-26 victory and complete the sweep.
The Concordia-Moorhead Cobbers fought hard in a competitive matchup against Augsburg, ultimately falling in a close 3-set battle, 25–20, 25–17, 26–24. Despite the loss, the Cobbers showcased grit and determination, keeping every set tightly contested and displaying strong offensive and defensive efforts throughout the match.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/11/25) — Concordia faced tough competition on Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets to Bethel (25–14, 25–14, 25–21) before battling in a competitive three-set match against the University of Northwestern (MN), ultimately falling 25–15, 26–24, 25–23. The Cobbers were unable to secure a win in either contest despite several strong stretches of play.
Concordia volleyball rode a wave of career performances to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Saint Mary’s. The Cobbers captured the first two sets 25-17 and 25-23 before the Cardinals responded to take the third and fourth sets 25-18 and 25-15, setting the stage for a decisive fifth set. Concordia came out firing in the final set, winning 15-9 to clinch the match. The victory featured standout performances across the roster, highlighted by Addy Klemin’s career-high 16 kills on a .433 hitting percentage and Lauren Pearson’s career-best 13 kills, hitting .310. Betsy Schiltz also recorded a career-high 40 assists, orchestrating the Cobber offense, while Holland Fitterer anchored the defense with 14 digs.
Concordia made a statement in Friday night’s MIAC matchup, taking the opening set from No. 2 St. Olaf before the Oles rallied to win in four sets.
