Cobbers Battle To 0-0 Tie In Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. (9/17/22)---Concordia and St. Scholastica battled through 90 minutes without a goal, and ended the day with a 0-0 decision.

The tie is the first of the year for the Cobbers who earn their first conference point of the year. CC is now 3-2-1 in all games and 0-1-1 in the MIAC. The Saints are now 1-4-1 overall and a similar 0-1-1 in league play.

The stat line for both teams was very similar. Concordia had eight total shots and four shots on goal as opposed to seven shots with four on frame for St. Scholastica. Both teams also had two corner kicks.

Cobber senior forward Grace Lawlor led all players with three shots in the game. All three of her attempts were also on goal.

Junior Bre Nelson got the start in goal and stopped all four shots she faced in the game. The shutout is Nelson's second of the season and she now has a 0.67 goals against average.

UP NEXT: Concordia will have a week off before hosting Carleton on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. The Knights are 5-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in MIAC play.
