MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/09/21)---Concordia senior Benjamin Bogart (Alexandria, Minn.) was named to the Academic All-District At-Large Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The "At-Large" distinction covers student-athletes who compete in women's crew/rowing, men's and women's fencing, women's field hockey men's and women's golf, women's gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and wrestling.

Bogart was one of only 11 student-athletes chosen for the District 6 At-Large Team. Concordia was one of only three schools in the district to have more than one student-athlete earn the award as men's hockey senior Tyler Bossert also earned the honor.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District team is part of the CoSIDA Academic All-America program. Top student-athletes from NCAA Division III programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan are eligible for inclusion on the District 6 team, one of eight Division III districts nationwide.

Bogart finished his Concordia academic career with a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) while majoring in Physics and Mathematics. He was a 4-year member of the Cobber wrestling team who competed in the NWCA Division III National Meet this year. During his athletic career with the Cobbers, Bogart posted a Top 8 finish at the 2019 NCAA Upper Midwest Regional Meet and won 24 matches during that season.

Off the mat, Bogart was a Tech Advisor for the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium (MnSGC) Intercollegiate Quadcopter Challenge.

Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.30 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Bogart is now eligible for Academic All-American honors.
