Bio

Andrea (Nichols) Sele has been a member of the Cobber coaching staff since the 2013-14 season. Her duties  is responsible for the Concordia offensive players and her hockey pedigree and experience in the game make her one of the top assistants in the MIAC.

Nichols is a former two-time captain for the University of Minnesota and was a member of two Division I national championship teams for the Gophers.

Nichols played for the University of Minnesota from 2003-07 and during that time she played in 150 games and tallied 42 goals and 38 assists for 80 career points. She helped the Gophers capture the NCAA National Championship in back-to-back seasons in 2004 and 2005.  

Nichols was a decorated high school player as well for the combined high school teams of Hibbing and Chisolm where she was named Minnesota’s Ms. Hockey in 2003. She was a three-time All-State selection and led the state in scoring for two years. Over her five-year high school career Nichols had 267 goals and 184 assists for 451 points.

Nichols graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2007 with a degree in sports studies.

After her four years at Minnesota, Nichols went on to play with the Minnesota Whitecaps and was an assistant coach with the Minnetonka High School girls’ hockey team.

Andrea is married to Nate Sele and the couple lives in West Fargo.
