Bio

Former Cobber All-American Kari Weidner-Ceniceros was named as the head coach of the Cobber women’s golf program in the summer of 2018.

Weidner-Ceniceros took over for Joe Christianson who moved into the role of Associate Athletic Director but retained his position as head men’s golf coach and is also the Director of Golf Operations.    

Weidner-Ceniceros played collegiately for the Cobbers and was an All-American in her senior season in 2000 when she helped Concordia to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Division III Championship Meet held at Prairie Vista GC in Bloomington, Ill.

Weidner-Ceniceros was also a four-time All-MIAC honoree and placed in the Top 5 at the MIAC Championship Meet in all four seasons. She was the runner-up at the MIAC Meet in 2000 and was the co-medalist at the Minnesota State Tournament in 1999. Weidner-Ceniceros also helped Concordia win the MIAC team championship in all four seasons.
 
Weidner-Ceniceros brings a wealth of teaching and coaching experience to the position as well. She is currently the Assistant Golf Professional at the Fargo Country Club. Before coming to the Fargo CC in 2007, Weidner-Ceniceros was the Assistant Golf Professional at the San Diego Country Club from 2002-05.

In addition to her professional teaching experience, Weidner-Ceniceros has over 10 years’ experience as a high school or college coach. While in San Diego she was the head girls’ golf coach at Coronado HS. After moving back to the Fargo-Moorhead area she was an assistant coach with the Cobbers from 2008-14.
