Season-Opening Win

WAHPETON, N.D. (4/09/21)---Concordia was finally able to tee it up in the 2020-21 season they faced Minn.-Morris in a dual meet at Bois de Sioux GC in Wahpeton. The Cobbers posted the Top 3 scores against the Cougars and came away with a 16-stroke margin of victory.  

It was Concordia's first dual meet since the 2007 season when they squared off against cross-town rival MSU Moorhead.

Senior Bailey Klause and sophomore Abbey Frauenholtz led all golfers with identical 85's. The co-medalists helped Concordia post a 369-385 win. It was the third lowest round of Frauenholtz' Cobber career.    

Freshman Lillie Kirchner tied for third place in her first collegiate meet. She carded a 93 and was tied with three Morris players.

Talia Stumpf, Kenley Anderson and Jordie Egerdahl also took the trip south to make their season debut. Stumpf posted a 106 while Anderson and Egerdahl had identical 114's.   

UP NEXT: Concordia will start multi-team invitational play when they head to Becker, Minn. To compete in the Bethel Battle at the Creek Invite on Apr. 17-18.
