Bio

Lindsey Halverson was hired as the full-time assistant coach for the Cobber women's basketball program in March of 2020. Halverson brings an inside understanding of the Concordia program and the area high school basketball scene to the position. 

Halverson played for the Cobbers from 2008-11 and helped Concordia win the MIAC playoff tournament championship as a senior in 2011. She was also a part of teams that made two NCAA tournament appearances. Halverson was named to the MIAC All-Defensive Team in 2009 and was a 2-time All-MIAC Honorable Mention honoree. During her four seasons at Concordia she helped the team record 74 overall wins and post a 66-22 record in conference play. The Cobbers also made the playoffs all four of Halverson's seasons and advanced to the MIAC championship game on a pair of occasions.

Before coming to Concordia, Halverson was the head coach for Waubun High School from 2013-19 where she helped bring a successful culture and philosophy to the program. She also helped lead the youth through Saturday morning programs as well as helping out with local tournaments and community education program.  Before her head coaching tenure, she was the assistant coach for basketball and volleyball at Lake Park-Audubon High School.

As well as her head coaching duties, Halverson had been a third-grade teacher at Ogema Elementary School in Ogema, Minn. from 2013 until the present. She was also a House System Administrator, member of the Constructive/Innovation Committee and also served on the Oversight Committee.

Halverson graduated from Concordia in 2011 with a bachelor's degree while majoring in Elementary Education and went on to earn her master's degree in Differential Instruction from Concordia-St. Paul in 2018.
