D3hoops.com Team Of The Week Honors For Anderson

MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/26/24)---On Monday it was the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for Cobber senior Makayla Anderson (Bismarck, N.D./Bismarck Century HS) and on Tuesday it is the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week award.

Anderson turned her 26-point, 8-rebound outing against No.13-ranked Wis.-Stout on Saturday to receive D3hoops.com National Team of the Week honors for the third time in her career. She was also named to the national team of the week on Feb. 13 of last season and Jan. 3 of the 2023 season.

Anderson has earned the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week award ore than any other player in Cobber program history. 

 

Anderson went 10-for-14 from the floor and 6-for-7 from the free throw line as she helped Concordia dispatch the nationally-ranked Blue Devils 86-75 in Menomonie, Wis. 

 

Anderson is averaging 19.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in the two games she has played this season. She is third in the MIAC in scoring and ninth in rebounds per game. 

Anderson has helped the Cobbers average 106.3 points per game this season. That total is the top scoring average for teams in Division I, II and III.

 

Anderson and the rest of the Cobbers will look to continue their early-season success when they play at Wis.-River Falls on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m.
