Bio
Meaghan Laetsch is in her first year as assistant coach for the Concordia women’s softball team. Laetsch brings a broad range of experience to the Cobber program. As an athlete she played collegiately in NCAA Division II and as student she was a multiple-year Academic All-Conference honoree.
Laetsch graduated of Southwest Minnesota State University in
Marshall, Minn. in 2010 where she majored in Exercise Science and
Coaching. Laetsch was a four-year starting outfielder
for the regionally-ranked Mustangs and played in the NCAA
Tournament in 2008 and 2009. She was also named to the Northern Sun
Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) All-Tournament Team in 2009.
Laetsch played in 180 games in her career for Southwest Minnesota
State, had over 400 at-bats and had a career batting average of
.278.
As a student/athlete Laetsch was named to theNSIC Academic
All-Conference for three straight seasons.
Laetsch is currently finishing her master’s degree from
Northern State.
In addition to her outstanding playing career, Laetsch has an
extensive background in other facets of fast pitch softball. She
has directed all-star camps and coached Junior Olympic and AAU
travel teams. Prior to coming to Concordia she was a Graduate
Assistant at NCAA Division II Northern State University in
Aberdeen, S.D.
Meaghan is originally from Salem, S.D. where she attended McCook
Central High School and helped the Cougars to a pair of state
runner-up finishes. She also lettered in basketball, golf, track
and cross country.
