Gavin earns her third consecutive MIAC postseason award, while Leither receives the very first league honor of her career. Gavin was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team in 2021, and was placed on the All-MIAC Honorable Mention Team as a sophomore in 2019.

Gavin was second in the MIAC in strikeouts in conference contests as she capped off her record-breaking career. She posted 136 Ks in her 81.0 innings pitched in conference play. She finished her 13 conference appearances with a 2.59 ERA which was fourth among league pitchers with at least 10 starts on the year.

Gavin posted double-digit strikeout totals in seven conference games – including three of the four MIAC playoff teams she faced. Gavin's highwater mark came against Gustavus when she fanned 20 batters in an 11.0 extra-inning contest. The 20 strikeouts tied a conference record for Ks in a single game.

Gavin finished her career with the Cobber program record for strikeouts in a single game (20), strikeouts in a single season (226) and strikeouts in a career (715). She is also second on the MIAC all-time career strikeout list.

Leither had the best season of her career in 2022. She led Concordia in batting average, hits, on-base percentage and stolen bases in conference play. Leither hit a career-best .340 in the 16 league games she started. Leither also came through with 17 hits, posted an on-base percentage of .389 and swiped five bases.

Leither had five multiple-hit games in MIAC play – and all five came in the last seven games of the year. During that final stretch she hit .480. Her top game of the year came in the Cobbers' dramatic walkoff win in extra innings over St. Catherine when she went 3-for-5 and helped set the stage for the walkoff home run with a single in the 11th inning.
