Goss Earns All-Conference Honorable Mention Honors And Leads Cobbers At MIAC Meet
The Concordia men’s cross country team put together a strong showing at the MIAC Championship on Saturday, finishing eighth overall at the Highland 9-Hole Golf Course in St. Paul. Junior Tyler Goss led the Cobbers as he claimed MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (11/1/25) — Junior Tyler Goss earned MIAC honors for the first time in his cross country career and led the Cobbers at the conference championship meet.
Goss' season-best time of 26:25.5 over the 8K course was good for a 20th-place finish which earned him MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors and helped Concordia place eighth in the final team standings.
The Cobbers posted 219 team points with a Top 5 cumulative time of 2:19:02, averaging 27:48 per runner.
Sophomore Carter Ferber was the team's second finisher, taking 57th in 27:46.7, followed by first-runner Gavin Carl in 64th with 28:01.7. Brady Andrews (78th, 28:14.7) and Weston Mahar (90th, 28:34.0) rounded out Concordia's scoring five. Stetson Gisselbeck and Evan Grover completed the Top 7, finishing 93rd and 111th, respectively, with the team's scoring five crossing the line within a 2:08 spread.
St. Olaf captured the team championship with 33 points, followed by Carleton and Macalester. Concordia now turns its attention to the St. John's Fall Finale on Nov. 7.
