Cobbers Kick Off Season At Shortened MSU Moorhead Twilight
Concordia opened the 2025 by finishing third at the annual MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet which was shortened due to a wrong turn taken by the guide vehicle.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/05/25)---Concordia opened the 2025 by finishing third at the annual MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet which was shortened due to a wrong turn taken by the guide vehicle.
The Cobbers were led by Tyler Goss and showed improvement up-and-down the lineup as they improved their team finish by one place and 19 team points from last year's Dragon Twilight Meet.
Concordia had all five of their scoring athletes finish in the Top 50 of the final individual standings.
Goss crossed the line in a time of 17:25.50 which was good for a Top 15 finish. He was the top non-Division I or II in the meet.
Carter Ferber started his senior season by finishing as the team's No.2 runner. Ferber came home with a time of 18:08.5.
First-year athlete Stetson Gisselbeck was the No.3 finisher for Concordia. He posted a time of 18:52.2 in his first collegiate outing.
Weston Mahar and Brady Andrews closed out the Top 5 for the Cobbers. Mahar gives Concordia a 1-2 first-year punch in the Top 5. Mahar was close behind his classmate and posted a time of 19:19.2.
Andrews was the No.50 finisher in the race with a time of 19:32.8.
Concordia will have a 2-week break before returning to action at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
