Wicklund Earns 2nd MIAC Meet Award

NORTHFIELD, Minn. (11/02/19)---Senior Eric Wicklund capped his conference career by earning MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors at the MIAC Championship Meet held at Carleton College.

Wicklund finished 24th in the final individual standings with a time of 26:12. It marks the second time in the past three seasons that Wicklund has captured All-Conference Honorable Mention honors. He placed 19th at the conference meet as a sophomore in 2017.

Wicklund's Top 25 finish helped Concordia finish in eighth place in the final team standings. The Cobbers finished with 206 place points with all five of the team's scoring runners finishing in the Top 55 of the scoring runners at the meet.

Wicklund's time is a 34-second improvement from earlier in the year when the Cobbers competed over the same course at the Carleton Invitational.

Junior Munir Isahak was the team's No.2 finisher at the conference meet. He crossed the line in 26:43 which earned him the No.41 finisher position.

Concordia's No.3 through No.6 runners all finished within 14 seconds of one another.

Junior Noah Kneeskern was the No.3 finisher for CC as he clocked a 26:59. He recorded a time of 27:50 at the Carleton Invite on the same course on Sept. 21.

Jesse Middendorf finished fourth for the Cobbers in his first MIAC meet. He was right behind Kneeskern at 27:04, and like Kneeskern, he also shaved a considerable amount off his time from earlier in the year at Carleton.

Tanner Olson and Connor Haugrud went back-to-back across the finish line. Olson was the team's final scoring runner and finished in a time of 27:11 while Haugrud came home in 27:13.
