Cobbers Earn USTFCCCA Academic Award

MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/14/19)---Concordia capped its 2018 fall season by earning U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic status. The Cobbers had the third highest team GPA of any school in the MIAC.   

For a team to be considered for this honor, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional meet and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale. Overall, there were 393 teams honored by the USTFCCCA, of which 215 were women's teams.

The Cobbers compiled a team grade point average of 3.45. Concordia was one of nine MIAC men's teams earning All-Academic honors. The MIAC had the most teams win the award of any conference in the nation. 

In total 135 programs that had both their women's and men's teams earn the honor. The LeTourneau women reported the highest team GPA at 3.85, while the MIT men had the highest GPA of their gender at 3.78.
