CC Earns USTFCCCA Academic Honors
MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/22/21)----The Concordia men's track and field team was honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their work in the classroom. The Cobbers were placed on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team list.
In order to be honored as an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team a program must have a combined team grade point average (GPA) of 3.10 on a 4.00 scale.
The Cobber men's track and field team finished the year with a team GPA of 3.34 and improved on their team GPA from last year.
The highest cumulative GPA of any men's program belonged to Bard College who had a 3.76 team GPA.
Concordia also had four individual student-athletes earn the individual All-Academic award. Jesse Middendorf, Colin Schuller, Cal Wright and Simon Zahrbock led the men's team by earning the award for the second consecutive season.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have finished the season ranked among the Top 50 individuals in an event or have been a part of a relay team that was ranked in the Top 35.
