Bossert Earns CoSIDA Academic Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/09/21)---Concordia senior Tyler Bossert (Fargo, N.D.) was named to the Academic All-District At-Large Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The "At-Large" distinction covers student-athletes who compete in women's crew/rowing, men's and women's fencing, women's field hockey men's and women's golf, women's gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and wrestling.  

Bossert was one of only 11 student-athletes chosen for the District 6 At-Large Team. Concordia was one of only three schools in the district to have more than one student-athlete earn the award as senior wrestler Benjamin Bogart also earned the honor.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District team is part of the CoSIDA Academic All-America program. Top student-athletes from NCAA Division III programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan are eligible for inclusion on the District 6 team, one of eight Division III districts nationwide.

Bossert is an ACHA All-American who has a 3.89 GPA while majoring in Finance. He earned his All-American honor in 2019 when he led the MIAC in total points and assists. Bossert is also a 2-time MIAC All-Conference honoree who has 50 assists in 54 games played for the Cobbers. He has 67 career points.

Bossert is also a member of the Cobber men's golf team and helped Concordia to a third-place finish at the MIAC Conference Meet this past spring which was the team's highest finish at a conference meet since 2001.      

Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.30 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. Bossert is now eligible for Academic All-American honors.
