Cobbers Finish 2-Day Spring Season

MONTICELLO, Minn. (4/24/22)---Sam Henke and Ryan Jenson led the Cobbers at the two 1-day tournaments hosted by St. John's over the weekend.

Concordia fired a team score of 323 and placed 12th at the SJU Winter Classic at Lynx National GC on Saturday, and then carded a 334 and finished in 14th place at the St. John's Spring Invitational at Monticello CC on Sunday.

Henke fired the low round of the weekend for Concordia when he shot a 77 on Saturday. His 5-over-par total was good for a tie for 18th place among the 89 competitors. Henke birdied four holes on Saturday, including three on the Back 9 when he shot an even-par 36.  

Justin Lamp was the No.2 golfer for CC on the first day of tournaments. He shot an 80 and was T36th. Mason Plante and Jenson were close behind at 82 and 84.

Jenson led the way on Sunday with an 80. He had a pair of birdies as he posted a 3 on the Par 4 8th hole and had a 4 on the Par 5 12th hole. He was the only CC player that posted a birdie during the tough playing conditions on Sunday.

Plante was the No.2 golfer CC on Sunday with an 84 and Henke and men's golf newcomer Adam Tonsfeldt tied at 85.
