Stromme Receives All-Region Certificate

MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/16/20)---Former Cobber men's golfer Gage Stromme recently received his  Golf Coaches' Association of America (GCAA) Division III PING All-Region certificate.

Stromme became the first Cobber men's golfer to earn GCAA All-Central Region honors since 2015 when he received the honor in April. Stromme is the fifth Concordia player to earn All-Region honors in the past 11 seasons. He was one of six men's golfers from the MIAC to earn the award.

Stromme earned the region honor for his outstanding senior season. He posted a pair of medalist finishes and earned MIAC All-Conference honors with his seventh-place finish at the MIAC Championship Meet. Stromme won the Minn.-Crookston King's Walk Invite and tied for the top spot at the prestigious Twin Cities Classic. He won the King's Walk Invite by shooting a career-best 67 in the final round of the 2-round tournament. Stromme then tied for first place at the Twin Cities Classic by holing out a shot from the fairway for eagle on the final hole of the tournament. The Twin Cities Classic featured 18 teams and seven other MIAC schools

Stromme led the Cobbers in scoring average in 2019. He finished the year with an average of 73.9 for his 14 rounds on the season. He finished in the Top 20 in four of the six events he competed and had three Top 10 finishes.
