Bio

Jackson Lyngass joined the Cobber coaching staff in 2020.  

Lyngaas graduated from Concordia College in 2018. During his time as a student at Concordia, he was hired to be the freshman boys basketball coach at Shanley High School in Fargo, N.D. Following two years as the freshman boys basketball coach at Shanley, Coach Lyngaas joined Tyler Bormann’s staff at Moorhead High School in 2017 and was on the staff for three seasons from 2017-20.

During his time as Moorhead HS, Lyngaas was involved with all facets of the program as an assistant coach for the JV and Varsity levels.

Lyngaas is originally from Detroit Lakes, Minn and played basketball, football and baseball at Detroit Lakes High School. He currently resides in Moorhead and is a 3rd-grade teacher in the Hawley, Minn. school district.
