Bio

Lewis Grant joined the Cobber coaching staff in the summer of 2017. His primary duty is head coach for the Concordia JV team but he also has responsibilites with the varsity team as well as administrative duties for the program.  

Lewis was born and raised in the United Kingdom where he played basketball at the club, regional, and national level as a youth player. He then moved to the United States and played two years at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake.

Lewis then transferred to Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2008 to pursue a career in coaching. He began his coaching career at West Fargo High School in 2010 at the freshman level and was a varsity assistant under Greg Limke.

Lewis then joined the staff at Fargo Sheyenne High School as an assistant coach while the program transitioned into varsity basketball. He then began coaching at Sheyenne High School in 2013 as well as coaching AAU Basketball for ECI since 2014. Coaching 14U-17U teams each spring/summer.

Lewis earned bachelor’s degrees in both Advertising Communications and Heath & Physical Education Teaching from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He now teaches Career and Technical Education for West Fargo Public Schools.
