Cook Named MIAC Offensive Player Of The Year; Loge & Schell Also Earn Honors
Jacob Cook led a group of three Cobber players to earn MIAC postseason honors it was announced by the league office on Tuesday. Cook was named the Joe Hutton Offensive Player of the Year while Jackson Loge earned MIAC All-Conference honors and Payton Schell was placed on the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/03/26)---Jacob Cook (Sr., Ashby, Minn.) led a group of three Cobber players to earn MIAC postseason honors it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Cook was named the Joe Hutton Offensive Player of the Year and was also named to the MIAC All-Conference Team and All-Playoff Team, while Jackson Loge (Sr., Morris, Minn.) earned MIAC All-Conference honors and Payton Schell (Fy., Minot, N.D.)was placed on the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.

Cook becomes the first Cobber player to earn MIAC Offensive Player of the Year honors since the league went to offensive and defensive player of the year awards in 2023.
He is the first Concordia player to earn one of the major honors since 2016 when Jordan Bolger was named the MIAC Most Valuable Player of the Year.
Cook is the fifth player in program history to receive the highest award in the conference. Bolger, Luke Linz (2008), Garrett Byrne (1983) and Andy Askegaard (1982) all received the MIAC Most Valuable Player award.
Cook finished second in the MIAC in scoring. He averaged 21.4 points per game in the 16 Cobber conference games. He finished with 343 points, which was one shy of the leading scorer in the conference.
Cook led the MIAC rebounding with a 12.1 rebounds per game average. He was the only player in the conference that averaged more than 9.0 rebounds per game.
Cook was also tied for fourth in the league in assists. He averaged 3.6 helpers per game.
Cook scored at least 10 points in 15 of the 16 conference contests and had a double-digit rebound total in 11 games.
Cokk ended his career with the Cobbers by scoring 1,348 points and grabbing 737 rebounds. Both totals are in the Top 6 on the programs all-time lists.
Loge averaged 8.3 rebounds and 15.3 points per game. He finished fourth in the MIAC in rebounds and 14th in scoring. He was also sixth in field goal percentage as he connected on 58.7% of his attempts from the floor.
Loge posted seven double-doubles during the league season and posted a career-high 31 points in the Cobber's win at St. Scholastica.
Loge finished his 3-year career in maroon and gold with 1,035 points and 668 rebounds.
Schell led the MIAC in blocks in his first collegiate season. He posted 31 rejections in 16 games. Schell also averaged 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and finished in the Top 25 in both statistical categories.
Schell came up with a season-high 34 points in Concordia's win at Macalester. He scored in double figures in nine games and had a season-high five blocks against Gustavus.
