Head Coach Tyler Bormann announced that the Cobber boys' basketball camps will return this year and will take place on July 27-30 and Aug. 4.
The following is a statement from Coach Bormann regarding the camps:
You may be familiar with the Cobber Cage Camps previously held each summer at Concordia College and perhaps you have fond memories of attending those camps, working camp as a student athlete, or even know others who enjoyed their time at camp in previous summers. Our staff is excited to be bringing boys' basketball camps back to Concordia!
While this summer is a unique and challenging time to host camps, our staff is working hard to make it work. This summer we will be offering a Day Camp (July 27-30, Grades 1-9) and an Elite Camp (August 3, Grades 10-12). Our Cobber Day Camp will focus on foundational skill development for youth players in a fun, high energy atmosphere while our Elite Camp is designed for student-athletes who are serious about playing college basketball or are already receiving recruiting interest at the college level, including from our program. All camps will be run in accordance with the current Minnesota Department of Health guidelines regarding youth sports and will be organized to prioritize camper safety throughout the camp experience.
With many other college camps being cancelled this summer you may know of youth players who are looking for the opportunity to attend basketball camp this summer. If you know of anyone who may be interested in camp, perhaps a child or grandchild, please feel free to pass this information along to them. While camps this summer will have to be smaller in size and structured a little differently than we would ideally like, we still look forward to providing an enjoyable, developmentally positive experience for all campers!
