Welcome To The New-Look Website
After five years, the Cobber website decided to go under the knife, get a nip here and a tuck there and get a brand new look for the 2025-26 season.
Welcome to the redesigned Cobber athletics website!
After five years, the Cobber website decided it was time for a change in its life so it headed under the knife to get a nip here, a tuck there and come up with a sleek new look.
While the look on the outside is shiny and youthful, it’s what’s on the inside that is the real story. The redesigned website is compatible over more browsers and more mobile friendly. In addition, it also meets the updated ADA requirements making it more accessible to anyone.
That’s the general overview. Now let’s get into the real fun and take a look at some of the bells and whistles that the new site will feature:
- The student-athlete bio pages will now have the capability to feature photos and news items from that specific athlete. Whenever a student-athlete is tagged in an action picture or mentioned in a recap or news item, that picture or news link will appear on their bio page so that they will have their own photo gallery or headline page.
- Click on the link to go to Thomas Horan’s bio page to see the “new look” photo and news features: gocobbers.com/sports/bsb/2024-25/bios/horan_thomas_2mz9
- Easier navigation for the team pages, schedule pages and roster sites. The team schedule pages will also feature a “top performers” section after each game so fans can see which Cobber was outstanding in their field (insert your corn joke here).
- Each team schedule page will also have a countdown clock at the top of the page so fans will know exactly how long the wait will be until their favorite Cobber team will be back in action.
- An expanded upcoming schedule section on the main page, and each individual sport page, that will allow Cobber Nation to know what events are coming up, what live links are available for those contests and what the results were from past events with links to recaps, pictures and highlight videos.
- A “call to action” section that will feature a large link to the live streaming page, news archive page and a brand-new Cobber Blog feature. This will make it easier for fans to access all the live streams from Cobber events, the ability to see any past news items you might have missed and a running commentary on the inside working of Cobber athletics.
- We are also in the process of updating our archive section for all sports so every former Cobber can go back and relive their great moments and see their “interesting” hairstyles when they wore the maroon and gold.
We hope you enjoy the newly enhanced Cobber website! As with any new technology, it will take us awhile to figure out all the features and how to work the different buttons and links (as in – What the heck does this button do? Let’s click on it and find out. Oops, maybe we shouldn’t have done that).
Please be patient as we get up to speed with the new site. And as the saying goes, “if you like the new site, tell all your friends. If you don’t like it, don’t tell no one!”
Roll Cobbs!
