Miller Leads Cobbers at Bison Open

Fargo, N.D. (8/30/2019)---Concordia competed in their first official meet of the season on Friday at Rose Creek Golf Course in south Fargo hosted by North Dakota State University. The Cobbers were the only NCAA Division III team competing at the Bison Open which featured four DI teams.

The Cobbers were led by Meritt Miller , who finished in 15:32.6 and was 33rd in the field. Miller was followed by senior teammates Miriah Forness (15:48/40th) and Kara Andersen (15:51/42nd).

A few new faces on the Cobber squad also had great showings in their first collegiate meet. Freshman Amelia Landsverk  was 60th in a time of 16:37 and Quinn Wrigley  crossed the line in 16:53 which was good for 65th place.     

UP NEXT: Concordia will compete next Friday, September 6, at the MSU Moorhead Twilight meet at Bluestem at 7:30 pm. The Cobbers will be looking to improve on their fifth-place finish from a year ago.
