Uhrich Paces Cobbers At Neubauer Invitational
LA CROSSE , Wis. (10/19/13)— Concordia sophomore Melissa Uhrich ran a 23:35.7 at the Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse and helped the Cobbers finish in 24th place in the final team standings.
The invitational is one of the premiere events of the fall and features the top teams in the region and conference. Concordia was one of 30 teams that participated in the meet.
Uhrich's 68th place finish was one of two in the top 100 for Concordia. Morgan Christian was less than 15 seconds behind Uhrich and finished in 87th place. Morgan's finishing time of 23:49.6 was more than one minute faster than the No.3 runner for the Cobbers.
Callie Christianson, Heather Olson and Kaya Baker all finished within 40 seconds of one another to round out the top 5 for Concordia. Christian came home in a time of 25:15.2 while Olson clocked a 25:28.4 and Baker completed the 6k course in a time of 25:55.0.
The La Crosse meet is the last before the MIAC Championship Meet. The Cobbers will now turn their attention to championship meets. CC will compete in the conference championship race on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Como Park GC in St. Paul.
