Cobbers Fall In Four

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/30/19)---Concordia looked like they were going to tie their key MIAC match-up with Bethel at 2-2 after they took a 16-14 lead and had the momentum in the set but a 10-3 finishing run by the Royals sent the Cobbers to a 3-1 (25-17, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23) loss in Moorhead.

Concordia started slow dropping the first set 25-17 and then falling 25-19 in the second. The Cobbers rallied in the third by opening the bout with a 4-0 run and then jumping to an 18-13 lead. The Royals would close the gap to 24-22 before a service error allowed Concordia to take the set 25-22.

Both teams had their hitting shoes on for the penultimate conference regular season match of the year. The Cobbers hit .279 for the four sets but were outdone by Bethel who posted a .367 mark.
