Baarstad had the first two goals in the Cobbers' 3-0 win at Buena Vista on Friday and then netted the lone goal in Concordia's 2-1 2OT loss at Neb. Wesleyan on Sunday.

Baarstad's 3-goal weekend matches her season total from all of last year as well as her career total. She now has six goals in her 2-plus year career at CC.

Baarstad started her junior season by getting a goal in the ninth minute against Buena Vista. She then doubled the Concordia lead with 10 minutes left to go in the opening half of play. Baarstad staked CC to a 2-0 lead at the 35:59 mark on her second unassisted goal of the game.

Concordia controlled the play for the entire first half and into the second period before Lauren Zanotti scored her first collegiate goal at 54:53. Samanthan Dalsin and Kirsten Bokinskie were credited with the assists on the insurance goal.

The Cobbers outshot BVU 20-3 in total shots and 10-1 in shots on goal. Karsen Granning led CC with six total shots and three shots on goal. Baarstad also had three shots on frame for CC.

Senior goalie Maddy Reed stopped one shot to earn the 11th win of her career.

The Cobbers weren't able to hold on to the lead and Neb. Wesleyan tied the game at 67:04.

The game would end regulation in a 1-1 tie and the teams would battle through the 10-minute first OT period without a goal. NWU won the game at the 2:16 mark of the second extra session.

Reed turned aside five shots as the Prairie Wolves outshot CC 14-5 in total shots and 7-4 in shots on goal.
