Cobbers Garner Season-Best National Ranking

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/07/14)—Buoyed by the strength of two wins last week, Concordia jumped all the way to No.13 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national rankings. It is the highest the Cobbers have been in the Division III poll all season.

Concordia jumped from the No.19 spot in the poll to the 13th ranked team after a pair of 2-1 conference wins. The Cobbers beat regionally-ranked Augsburg 2-1 on Wednesday and then battled through a 2-1 double overtime victory at St. Mary's on Saturday.

The Cobbers have now been ranked in the top 25 of the nation for six consecutive weeks. Concordia entered the national poll on September 2 in the No.18 spot and climbed as high as No.14 on Sept. 23.
