All-Region Totals Continue To Grow

MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/04/13)—A trio of Cobber juniors earned National Soccer Coaches' Association (NSCAA) All-North Region honors. Laura Prosinski was named to the All-Region First Team while Libby Fransdal earned All-Region Second Team honors and Elizabeth Robinson was placed on the All-Region Third Team.

Concordia has now had 19 players earn All-Region honors in the past five seasons which is the most of any school in the MIAC.

Prosinski was one of only three players from the MIAC to earn All-Region First Team honors and the Cobbers were one of five teams to have three or more players garner All-Region awards.

The three players helped Concordia finish with an 11-7-1 overall record marking the 11th straight season that the Cobbers have posted at least 10 wins.

Fransdal is the only repeat All-Region award winner of the three. She earned her second consecutive straight All-Region award after being placed on the All-Region First Team last season.

Prosinski was one of the workhorses in the middle of the field for Concordia in 2013. She started all 19 games and came away with five goals and two assists for 12 points. Prosinski had a career-high three goals in the team's game at Dominican (Ill.) on Oct. 19.

Fransdal was the anchor of the Concordia defense throughout the season. The Cobbers gave up 19 goals in their 19 games this season and finished the year with a 0.97 goals against average. It is the eight straight year that CC has ended the season with a goals against average of under 1.00.

Robinson was the team's leading scorer in 2013. She had a breakout year by scoring 13 goals and adding two assists for a career-high 28 points. She scored at least one goal in seven games and had four multiple-goal games. Robinson had a pair of hat tricks in 2013. She scored three goals against St. Mary's and Dominican.
