3 Cobbers Earn MIAC Postseason Honors
MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/25/19)---Concordia placed three players on the MIAC postseason awards list as chosen by the conference coaches. Senior Megan Dondelinger and sophomore Callie Fagerstrom were placed on the MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention team while freshman goalie Emily Musielewicz was chosen for the MIAC All-Rookie Team.
Senior Sage Barta was chosen by Concordia as the team's representative on the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.
Dondelinger earns MIAC All-Conference honors for the first time in her career after having her best season in her final year in maroon and gold. She finished the year tied for the team lead in points in both conference games and overall contests. Dondelinger led the Cobbers in goals scored in both league and overall games.
Dondelinger came away with six goals and four assists for 10 points in the 18 MIAC games and put up nine goals and five assists for 14 points in all games. Dondelinger was in the Top 20 in the conference in both goals scored and power play goals netted in MIAC contests.
Fagerstrom records her second consecutive MIAC postseason award. Last year she was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team and the All-MIAC Rookie Team.
Fagerstrom was the top scoring defenseman for the Cobbers for the second straight season. She ended the year with six goals and six assists in all games and four goals and four assists in conference play.
Fargerstrom recorded three of her goals and three of her assists in league play on the power play which was tied for fifth in the MIAC.
Musielewicz started in goal the final eight games for the Cobbers. She ended the year with a 3.02 goals against average in her 14 overall games and put up a 2.86 GAA in 12 conference contests. She also had a 91.1% save percentage against league opponents.
