Dold Becomes First Cobber All-American
MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/15/12)—Concordia
senior Katelyn Dold (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud
Tech HS) capped her outstanding career by being named earning
All-American honors. Dold was named to the CCM American Hockey
Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American Second Team. She becomes
the first women's player in program history to earn All-American
honors.
Dold led the Cobbers in scoring in 2011-12 and helped Concordia
earn their first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. Dold finished
the year with 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 points. She was a part
of the Concordia team that finished in second place in the MIAC
regular-season standings and then advance to the MIAC Tournament
championship game for the first time in school history.
In addition to her All-American honors, Dold was named to the MIAC
All-Conference Team for the third consecutive season. She finished
the league season with seven goals and 14 assists for 21 total
points. She was tied for third in overall points and third in
assists. Dold's 21 conference points marks the third straight
season she has recorded at least 20 points in MIAC play. Dold had
at least one point in all but five conference games.
Dold finished her career with 59 goals and 63 assists for 122
points. She is second on the school's all-time goal and assist
lists and is third on the program's all-time scoring chart. Dold is
one of only three players in the history of Concordia women's
hockey to surpass the 100-point milestone for a
career.
