Duane Siverson is in his eighth season of his second stint as the head coach of the Cobber women's golf team. Siverson returned to the program after being the guiding force behind the team's dominating ways in the MIAC for 24 years. Siverson returned to coach the team in 2008 to help the Cobbers return to prominence.

Siverson was the Concordia women's golf coach from 1980 through 2003. During that time his teams finished second in the 2000 and 2001 Division III National Tournament. The Cobbers were also second or third in the NCAA Division III National Championships from 1992-1995 , finished 6th at the 1999 and 1998 NCAA Division II-III Tournament, 4th at the 1997 NCAA II-III Tournament, and 6th at the spring 1996 NCAA Division II-III Tournament.

They won a total of eight Minnesota State Golf Championships. With Siverson as their coach, the Cobbers had 87 first place tournament finishes, which averages out to four victories per year.

The Cobbers dominated their conference opponents in the MIAC Conference championship's first eight years of existence, winning the conference title 7 times, including titles in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. In the fall of 1995 Concordia won each of the seven invitationals on their schedule and in the fall of 1996 they won 6 of 7. This past season they won 6 out of the 9 tournaments they were entered.

In 2001 Siverson was named the NCAA Division III Region IV Coach of the Year by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). He was also named the Minnesota Golf Coaches' Coach of the Year in 1995-96, 1998-99 and 1999-2000. He was also MIAC Coach of the Year in 1998 and 1999. He is a member of the NCAA Division III Regional Committee for Women's Golf, and is currently on the National Division III Awards Committee . He recently received the 15-year merit award from the National Golf Coaches Association.

His Cobber teams featured many talented golfers in the past and present. In the 1999-00 season Concordia had four players earn All-American honors, and one receive Academic All-American distinction. Concordia has had 19 players have receive All-American recognition during Siverson's tenure, including the national champion in 1981 and the runner-up in 1992.

In addition to his coaching duties, Siverson serves on numerous golf committees in the Fargo Moorhead area. He also teaches at two local courses in their junior golf programs. He was the manager and supervisor of Maple River Golf Club in West Fargo, ND for ten years and managed the Willow Creek Golf Course in Barnesville, Minn. for one year.

For the past 20 years he has been an active member of the National Golf Foundation. Each year he organizes and runs a minimum of three college golf meets.

Siverson has also been an instructor of golf at Concordia since 1980. He has been a member of the Health and Physical Education Department at Concordia since 1979.

He and his wife Bonnie live in Moorhead and have two sons, Tyler and Jordan.
