Four Cobbers Shoot Season-Best Scores At St. Kate's Invite

WOODBURY, Minn. (9/15/24)---Concordia had its best single-round team score in two years as they finished 10th at the St. Catherine Fall Invite.

The Cobbers bolted out of the gate on Saturday by shooting a 337 at Braemar GC in Edina. Concordia had four of their five scoring team members shoot in the 80s and were led by sophomore Addicyn Zimmerman, who carded a career-best score of 80.

Zimmerman was followed by Joslynn Leach, Madi Ramler and Lauren Lamp who all posted their lowest scores of the 2024 season. Leach fired an 83 while Ramler and Lamp finished Day 1 with identical rounds of 87.

Concordia couldn't carry over the momentum from Saturday to the final day on Sunday. The Cobbers fell back to a team total of 372 at Eagle Valley GC in Woodbury.

Zimmerman finished as the top Concordia golfer for the meet. She came home with an 89 on Sunday to post a 2-day total of 169. That bests her season-best total for any tournament this year by 10 shots.

Leach and Ramler were the team's No.3 and No.4 finishers and also posted their best 2-day totals of the year. Leach followed her 83 with a 94 and totaled 177 for the weekend. The 177 is her best score since 2022 when she carded a 168 at the same St. Kate's Fall Invite.

Ramler has continued to improve in each of her first three college tournaments. She bettered her score from Week 1 to Week 2 by four shots and then trimmed 17 off that total with her final score of 179 at the St. Kate's Invite. She shot the second-best score of any Cobber on Sunday with a 92.

Lamp gave the Cobbers five players with season-best tournament totals. After opening with the 87, she came home in 97 on Day to come away with a 184 – five shots clear of her previous season-best total.

Senior Abbey Hardwick was the final member of the Cobbers over the weekend. She shot a 97 on Saturday and then recorded a 100 on Sunday to finish with a 197.

The Cobbers have two meets remaining in their fall season. CC will play in their penultimate tournament next weekend when they travel to Hastings, Minn. to compete in the Gustavus D3 Classic at Emerald GreenS GC.
