HASTINGS, Minn. (9/18/22)—Concordia bettered its lowest team score of the year by 34 shots on Day 2 at the Division III Classic held at Emerald Greens GC.

Lillie Kirchner led the Cobbers as she posted a season-best score of 79 on Sunday. The other three members of the CC scoring team all finished in the 80's, marking the first time this season that the Cobbers have had all players card a score under 89.

All four scoring members of the Cobbers on Sunday also recorded their lowest 2-round total of the season.

Concordia finished the second day with a team score of 330, which was better than four other squads at the tournament on the day. CC finished with a 2-day total of 695.

The 330 team score posted on Sunday is also the lowest for the Cobbers since the 2014 season.

Senior Abbey Frauenholtz led the Cobbers over the 2-day tourney. It marked the third straight tournament to open the season that she has been the low Concordia player.

Frauenholtz carded a 90 on Saturday, but then improved on that score by nine shots and came home in 81 on Sunday. The 81 is Frauenholtz' lowest round of the season. She leads the team in scoring average this season with an 87.5 mark.

Kirchner's 79 on Sunday helped her finish as the team's No.2 golfer. She opened with a 93, but then used a double-bogey free round on Sunday to post the 79. She had a stretch of nine straight pars on Day 2 to record her lowest score of the year.
