Short Squad Preps For MIAC Meet

NORTHFIELD, Minn. (4/25/21)---Concordia took a small squad to Northfield to compete in its second consecutive multi-team invite. Due to scheduling conflicts, and other previous commitments, the Cobbers only traveled with four players to the Carleton-St. Olaf Spring Invite played at Willingers GC and Northfield GC.

Senior Bailey Klause led Concordia who didn't factor into the final team standings in the event. Klause played to an 85 on Saturday at Willingers and then shot a 90 at Northfield GC on Sunday. Her 2-day total of 175 had her just outside the Top 25 in 26th place.

Sophomore Abbey Frauenholtz carded a pair of rounds in the 80s and finished two shots back of Klause. She opened with an 89 on Saturday and improved by a single shot on Sunday to finish at 177 and in a tie for 27th place.

Freshman Lillie Kirchner was the third Cobber golfer to play over both days. She shot a 99 on Day 1 and then posted a 102 on Sunday.

Talia Stumpf also made the trip to Northfield but had to pull out of the tournament after nine holes due to an upper body injury.

UP NEXT: Concordia will finish off the spring season by competing in the MIAC Championship Meet. The Cobbers will head to Hastings to participate in the conference meet on Apr. 30-May 2 at Emerald Greens GC.
