Staying in Contention At MIAC Meet

BECKER, Minn. (9/29/19)---Junior Bailey Klause stayed in contention for All-Conference honors and led the Cobbers on a rainy Day 2 at the MIAC Championship Meet.

Klause carded an 83 on Sunday and has a 2-day total of 163 and is tied for 12th place with one round left to play. Klause is two shots out of a Top 10 finish which would earn her All-MIAC honors.

Concordia dropped off their opening round pace on Sunday. After posting a 5-year single round best total of 343 on Saturday, the Cobbers fired a team total of 351 on Day 2 and is now in eighth place.

Freshman Abbey Frauenholtz equaled Klause's 83 on the day. She was only 2-over on the back 9 and has a 2-day total of 170 which places her in 28th place.

Senior Katie Krueger posted a 92 and is the team's No.3 golfer for the tournament. She has a total of 175 and is tied for 34th place.

Katie Froemke completed the Concordia scoring quartet for the day. She shot a 93 and has a total of 186 after the first two days of competition.          
 
UP NEXT: Concordia will finish off the fall season when they compete in the last round of the MIAC Championship Meet at Pebble Creek GC on Monday, Sept. 30 beginning at 9:42 a.m.
