Mireault Leads Trio Of 80's At Carleton Invite
NORTHFIELD, Minn. (4/29/12)—Concordia had
three players shoot in the 80's as they finished eighth at the
Carleton Invite held at the Northfield Golf Club on Sunday. The
tournament puts an end to the Cobbers' 2011-12 season.
Concordia was led by freshman Amy Mireault who
fired an 87 and finished in a tie for 22nd place.
Freshman teammates Molly Zavadil and
Kristi Opatz followed right behind Mireault.
Zavadil tied for 29th place with an 88 and Opatz was one
shot off with an 89 and placed in a tie for 32nd.
The Cobbers had three other players at the meet. Katie Nelson came
home with a 90 while Holly Karkela finished with a
95 and Dana Meslow had a 99.
Opatz ended the year by leading the Cobbers in scoring average.
She played in 14 rounds and had an 83.9 average. She had six top 20
finishes on the season and placed in the top 5 once. Mireault was
second on the team in scoring. She also played in 14 rounds and had
an 84.8 average. Zavadil was the third member of CC to have a
scoring average under 86.0. She had an 85.9 average and finished in
the top 10 twice.
