Fisher Is Fourth Cobber Consecutive All-Region Winner

MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/16/15)—Concordia senior Alley Fisher was named to the D3hoops.com West All-Region Team for the second consecutive season. Fisher led the Cobbers in scoring in 2015 and helped the team earn its 13th consecutive MIAC playoff berth.

Fisher becomes only the fourth Cobber player in the 14-year history of the D3hoops.com All-Region Team award to earn back-to-back honors. She joins Mandy Pearson (2004, 05), Melanie Hageman (2006, 07, 08) and Erica Nord (2010, 11) as the only repeat All-Region winners for Concordia.

Fisher was one of six players from the MIAC to earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors.

The Cobbers have now had at least one player earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors in 11 of the 14 seasons that the website has handed out the All-Region award. Concordia is the only school in the MIAC to have an All-Region award winner in more than 10 seasons.

This is the 14th year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 18th annual All-American selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.

Fisher earned her second straight All-Region honor by leading the team in scoring and assists during the season. She averaged 15.3 points per game and dished out 71 assists in the team's 26 games. Fisher scored in double figures in 24 of the team's 26 games and scored at least 20 points on five occasions. She had a career-high 29 points against Macalester on Jan. 5.

Fisher shot 41.7-percent from outside the arc. She led the MIAC in 3-point field goal percentage and was 16th in the nation in the category.

Fisher's All-Region honor comes on the heels of a milestone season. She became the school's all-time 3-point shooting leader and also surpassed the 1,000-point plateau during the year. Fisher broke the school record for most career 3-pointers against St. Olaf on Feb. 18. She eventually finished her four seasons with 180 career 3-pointers which bettered the old record of 174 set by Annie Keeley from 2003-07.

Fisher finished her career with 1,221 points which puts her 13th on the school's all-time scoring list.
