Little Finishes On Top Of All-MIAC Ladder

MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/16/17)---Senior Madison Little finished her career by getting to the top of the MIAC postseason honor ladder.

Little was named to MIAC All-Conference Team for the first time in her career after earning All-Conference Honorable Mention honors last season and being placed on the MIAC All-Defensive Team in her sophomore season in 2015.

Little was also selected as the team's representative to the MIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Little was the only Cobber player to play in all 22 league games this season. She started every game as the team's center fielder and was the team's leadoff hitter for every conference contest.

Little led the team in plate appearances, hits and stolen bases in MIAC games. She had 60 at-bats, came away with 12 hits and stole eight bases. Little hit .200 during the conference season and had at least one hit in 11 games. She had a five-game hit streak during league play and went 3-for-6 against MIAC tournament champion, and NCAA super regional participant, St. Catherine.

In addition to her leadoff skills at the plate, Little played flawless defense against league opponents. She didn't make an error in 33 chances and had one assist from her center field spot.

Little led the team in hitting in overall games. She had a .362 average and had at least one hit in 25 of the tram's 40 games. She also led the team in on-base percentage (.435), hits (42), walks (13) and stolen bases (27).

Little's 27 stolen bases set a new program record. She bettered the old mark of 24 set by Kelli Niess in 2007. Little also had 57 steals in her four-year career which was second on the school's all-time list.

Little also finished her career by playing in a program-record 151 games and had 153 hits. Her hit total is tied for the No.2 spot in school history.
