Cobbs 4th At MSUM Dragon Twilight

MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/06/19)--- On a near perfect night for a cross country meet Concordia College men's cross country team took advantage of the opportunity. The Cobbers placed 4th at the MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet which was held Friday evening at the Bluestem Center for the Arts in Moorhead, Minn.

Results

Concordia had four runners finish in the Top 25 at the meet as they finished in fourth place as a team. The Cobbers were the only Division III team in the meet which featured NCAA Division II squads and  NAIA schools.

Senior Eric Wicklund led the Cobbers for a third season in a row at the MSUM Twilight Meet. Last year Wicklund finished 8th overall, improving to a 6th place finish on Friday, the senior finished the six-kilometer race in 18:55.8. 

Junior Munir Isahak , turned in another impressive performance, finishing in the top 25 for the second straight year.  Iashak finished 17th overall and crossed the finish line in 19:35.1. Jesse Middendorf was the third Cobber in, finishing 22nd and just two seconds in front of teammate Noah Kneeskern who rinished in 23rd. 

UP NEXT: Concordia will have a 2-week break before hitting the road for their first away meet of the season. The Cobbers will compete in the Carleton Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.
