Wicklund Leads Cobbers at Bison Open

Fargo, N.D. (8/30/2019)---Concordia opened up its 2019 campaign on Friday at the Bison Open at Rose Creek Golf Course in south Fargo.The Cobbers were the only Division III team competing at the Bison Open which featured four NCAA Division I teams.

Eric Wicklund was the first Cobber to finish, the senior ran the six-kilometer race in 19:33.5 to finish 23rd overall. Junior Munir Isahak was the second Cobber in, running a 20:06.7 and finishing 37th out of the 70 runners in the field. Cobber cross country newcomer Jesse Middendorf and junior Noah Kneeskern had great first meets, finishing together in 44th and 45th place.

UP NEXT: Concordia will compete again on September 6, at the MSU Moorhead Twilight meet at Bluestem at 8:10 pm. The Cobbers, who finished third a year ago at the meet, will look to improve on their third-place finish at last year's meet.
