Beachy was at the top of the conference pole vault chart all season long and entered the meet ranked fourth in the MIAC. It is the first time in his career that he has earned All-Region honors.

Beachy posted his best-ever finish at a conference championship meet by clearing a height of 14-03.25. That was good for a tie for second place and seven team points. Beachy had three attempts to win the title but narrowly missed each time at 14-11.00. It marks the first time in his indoor career that he has earned MIAC All-Conference honors for finishing in the top 3 in an event.

Beachy is the school record holder in the indoor pole vault. He set the program last season when he went over 15-01.25 at the St. Olaf Invite on Mar. 3, 2017.

Beachy's top mark during this year's indoor season came at the Bison Open on Feb. 2 when he cleared the bar at 14-11.00. Beachy tried to break his own indoor mark on several occasions this season but fell just short.

Beachy will now turn his attention to the outdoor season. Beachy's best mark outdoors in the pole vault is 15-02.25 which ranks third on the school's all-time list. Beachy, who finished fourth at last year's MIAC Outdoor Meet with his career best mark, will looking to add the outdoor pole vault mark to his resume. The school record in the event is 15-05.50 which was set in 2013 by Erik Olson.

Beachy, and the rest of the Cobbers, will start the outdoor season on Mar. 29 when they compete at the St. John's Invitational.
