On the final doubleheader weekend of the year, it was the Cobbers’ doubles teams that stepped into the spotlight. Concordia received three of its five team points in its matches with Macalester and St. John’s.

Concordia dropped an 8-1 decision to Bethel in a conference match that was played before the team heads to Florida.

Freshman Hunter Rice claimed one of the three team points against St. Schloastica as he posted a win in the super-set tie-breaker at No.5 singles.

Doubled Up In Duluth

The Cobbers found the waters of Lake Superior a little cold and icy on their doubleheader weekend in Duluth. Concordia fell 6-3 to St. Scholastica on Saturday and was blanked by UW-Superior on Sunday.

Success Takes Small Step In Heartbreaker vs. Northwestern

Sometimes the path to success comes in small steps rather than large strides. That was the case in Concordia’s non-conference match with Northwestern. The Cobbers lost 7-2 to the Eagles in 2023, but on Saturday the two teams battled toe-to-toe before Concordia lost a heartbreaking 5-4 decision.

Isaac Maddock was one of five freshmen in the lineup for the Cobbers in their spring opener at Crown. CC blanked the Polars 9-0.

Kai Pierce and Logan Sandberg capped their successful freshmen seasons by being named to the MIAC All-Conference Team in singles play. The two are the first Cobber freshmen to earn All-MIAC honors in singles play since 2015, when Isaac Toivonen claimed the award.
